It was a whirlwind two days of action packed talks from some of the biggest brains I've ever come across. The Webstock organisers did a fantastic job of mixing inspirational, motivational and technical presentations from a wildly diverse bunch to nerd superheroes. My three favourite presenters were Estelle Weyl, Ethan Marcotte, and Scott Hanselman. Over the next three blogs, I will take you a little of what I picked up from each of them.
Drawing on her extensive experience in mobile website development, Estelle's talk was quite technical and it taught me a few things I didn't even know I didn't know! That's the best kind of learning; the more you know, the less you know. She expounded on a broad range of do's and don'ts covering everything from optimal memory usage, battery conservation, latency reduction, and a heap of other nerdy buzzwords. I'm looking forward to implementing her teachings and making some kick arse mobile sites! Read more about Estelle here.
